Arrive in Joshimath Base Camp. Check inn at Hotel Dronagiri Joshimath (any time in evening) and welcome drink Later dinner.

After Breakfast Morning with drive is towards Dhak village 1hrs drive, from here the trek starts. Ascent gradually for some time and you will come across “Karachi” a small village. It is amid tall mountains and there is green vegetation all across the hills with step farms. The campsite lies 0.5 km further Gulling village it is a wide green stretch which offers unusual sight of Garhwal Himalayas and best view of Hathi Parbat, Ghori Parbat and Dronagiri. Setup your camps and overnight stay will be in tents.

After breakfast trek to Tali forest camp crossing huge dense oak forest trek around 4/5 hrs climb is zig zag climbing up hills. Arrive camps Tea and Snacks.

Morning breakfast and trek to kuari pass. You also take a look into 360 degrees of the mountain this day. You can take a view of all the mountains as you trek like the Neelkanth, Dronagiri, Nilgiri and Hathi Ghoda peaks. After few hours of trekking you will reach Kuari pass and the view from there is breathtaking. Back to Tali camp.

Trek 7 hrs. Full half day trek covering beautiful gorson meadow and tali lake , it will be the best day of the entire trek having excellent view of lofty snow caped peaks and meadows. Arrive at Auli transfer to rooms. Dinner and Stay up here.
Note – Sometime trek divert from Tali to Guling and back to Dhak if heavy snowfall as Tali is a narrow ridge of 1km which is very risky to cross in heavy snow.

Santosh, the founder of Adventure Trekking India, was born in Dadun village close to Joshimath, literally in the foothills of the legendary Nandadevi. From his childhood, his dream was to explore the Himalayas. While in school he started guiding and right after completing high school in 2003, he started his own guiding agency: “Adventure Trekking India”, which he has established and grown over the years. After Santosh completed MA in Eco Tourism, he was appointed by the Uttarakhand Tourism Department as the Officer in Special Duty (“OSD”) for its ground adventure project. Santosh started guiding in 2000 when he supported a trekking team of European senior citizens to the Valley of Flowers. Early in his career in 2003, he guided a team from the Indian Air Force in an expedition to climb Mt. Kamet. Since then, he has been instrumental in guiding many climbing teams, including from Indian defense services as well as international climbing teams. Some of his key accomplishments are: • Unique Expeditions. Climbed many peaks including Garuda Peak, Kedar Dome, Rudugaira, Unnamed peak in Nandadevi region, Ronti Saddle, Stok Kangri. First local company who helped and supported a European Kayaking Expedition from Vishnu Prayag to Rishikesh in 4 days (2004) • Experience. Till date have guided more than 10,000 hikers and climbers in more than 200 treks and expeditions • Training and Certifications. Basic and Advance Mountaineering Courses from Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM), Basic and advanced skiing courses from GMVN, Search and Rescue course from ABVI Manali, First AID short training from ATOAI • Affiliations and memberships. Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI), Uttarakhand Finest Outdoor Adventure, Tour Operator Association of Uttarakhand, Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF). Presently the General Secretary of Adventure Association of Joshimath and Secretary of Ski & Snowboard Association of Chamoli. • Awards. A. Booking Term
1. If booked more than 15 days before the trip start date, advance of 10% of the total booking value is payable at the time of booking. Balance amount shall be paid no later than 15 days before the trip start date.
2. If booked less than 15 days prior to the trip start date, the full booking value is due at the time of booking.
3. If the due amounts are not paid as per the payment schedule, bookings shall stand cancelled.
B. Cancellation Policy
1. If cancelled more than 15 days before the trip start date, the advance shall be refunded net of a 5% transaction fee.
2. If cancelled after full payment between 15 to 10 days before the trip start date, 25% cancellation fee of the total booking value.
3. If cancelled less than 10 days prior to the trip start date, the booking amount shall not be refundable.

C. Changes to and / or cancellation of trips
Itineraries shown are based on information available at the time of planning and are subject to change. The operators reserve the right to change expedition / trek / package dates, people or itineraries as conditions warrant. If a trip must be delayed or the itinerary changed due to bad weather, road conditions, transportation delays, government intervention, airline schedules, sickness, or other contingency for which the operator or its agents cannot make provision, the cost of delays and/or other changes are the responsibility of the participant. The operator reserves the right to decline, or accept, any individual as a trip member for any reason whatsoever.

The winter Kuari Pass trek offers a once-in-a-lifetime chance to experience the stunning Garhwal region at its most magical. Hikers will lose themselves in silent snow-covered forests and expansive glacial fields, and get up close and personal with one of the highest peaks in the world, the Nanda Devi.
Understand the effects of high altitude on your body before you begin the trek. The symptoms of Acute Mountain Sickness include headaches, nausea, and muscle weakness. Follow the instructions of the trek leader if you feel any of these symptoms.
Himalayan weather can be unpredictable, particularly in the winter months. It’s important to keep up to date with the latest forecasts and to follow the instructions of your trek leader.
Chances are that your mobile telephone will be out of service for the duration of the hike. Many tour operators use walkie-talkies to communicate. If you are completing the trek without a guide, ensure you have a way of reaching out for help in an emergency.
