The Sham Valley Trek is an unmissable expedition for anyone without previous trekking experience and wanting to get started or for families wanting to enjoy the valley knowing that everyone will be able to make it. The landscapes will take your breath away, and the experience of meeting local villagers and sharing their home for the night will be unforgettable.
Despite being called “baby trek”, it would be a mistake to underestimate the preparation needed for the Sham Valley Trek. Because of the altitude and the physical effort required, make sure that you prepare accordingly ahead of your expedition and be careful with your water intake during the trek. If any sign of altitude sickness appears, mention it directly to your guide or to someone at your homestay. The trek will take you over 3000m of altitude, so also check if your insurance covers this kind of expedition.
