Kanchenjunga Base Camp trek Nepal is a fantastic, three-week adventure deep into the Himalayas that does not require any technical climbing or mountaineering skill. This excursion provides opportunities for cultural enrichment while offering some of the most stunning and dramatic views available in the country.
The tours are available from March through May and September through November. Although there is no climbing required, groups walk an average of four to six hours per day, at times gaining significant elevation. Most companies provide guidelines on how to best prepare your body for the stress of the trek. Furthermore, this trek passes through protected areas of Nepal and requires special permits. Lastly, Nepal requires all international travelers (except for Indian nationals) to obtain a 30-day visa in order to complete treks.
