Mera Peak is the highest trekking peak in Nepal at 6,476 m, and it’s the perfect first conquest for those who want to summit mountains. The trip exposes travelers to local culture and a variety of natural beauty. In addition, the views of Everest and Makalu from the peak are nearly unparalleled.
Peak permits for climbing, Sagamartha National Park permits, high altitude. The Mera Peak Climbing cost is quite steep, with many guided excursions costing around US$4,000 or more. Part of these costs include peak permits for climbing and Sagamartha National Park permits. Due to the high altitude of this excursion, it’s recommended that travelers prepare beforehand, rest often, and bring high altitude medication. Finally, all international visitors must provide a valid passport upon arriving in Nepal, with the exception of Indian nationals.
