Icicles Adventure Treks and Tours, based in Kathmandu, Nepal, offers select guided adventures for adventure lovers from across the world, helping them discover the Himalayas and its cultural, ethnic, environmental, historical and architectural diversity, and its natural beauty which encompasses mountain ranges, glaciers, rivers, lakes, forests, and spectaculars waterfalls. Other than trekking, the company offers a wide range of other adventures and tours, including rafting, cannoning, wildlife safari, paragliding, and mountain flight.
To date it has operated approximately 1000+ adventure trips, taking around 10000+ hikers from 50+ different countries, in many trekking routes across Nepal, Bhutan, India and Tibet. The company has 16 full time guides and trek leaders.
Icicles Adventure Treks and Tours was founded by Mrs. Indira Bhatta and Mr. Hari Shreshtha in [2005]. It is one of the few adventure tour operators in Nepal, which was cofounded by and is run by a lady. Mr. Shreshtha has been an expert mountain guide and climber, with more than 12 years of experience as a professional trekking guide. He has lead mountaineering groups to many 6000m peaks of Nepal such as Mera Peak, Island Peak, Lobuche East Peak, Tent Peak, etc..

You can choose to trek alone or with guides, but guides are recommended due to the more remote areas of this trip. You will need to obtain an Everest National Park permit to enter the area surrounding Mount Everest. Lastly, Nepal requires all international travelers (with the exception of Indian nationals) to present a valid international visa or purchase one at the Kathmandu airport.
