If you want to experience the majesty of the Himalayas without overcrowding, the Manaslu Circuit trek provides an exciting, but mostly private, adventure. You will be heavily rewarded with views of the Manaslu range and other famous peaks. There are also multiple opportunities along the way to stop in small villages, learn local history, and visit sacred religions spaces.
To avoid monsoon season, this trek is only available from March to May and September through November. During the colder months, trekking poles and microspikes are encouraged to pass over the higher altitude terrain. This hike is suitable for more inexperienced hikers or veterans; it’s long but ultimately safe, and there is no climbing beyond walking on a well-worn path uphill. Lastly, visitors to Nepal (with the exception of Indian nationals) are required to have a visa, and additional permits are required to gain access to the Manaslu circuit. Your tour company can guide you to purchase these mandatory passes.
